Web Designers and Your Domain Names:
In our experience many web designers struggle to configure your domain name(s) correctly, so let the experts handle this.
They will still host your website and do all the brilliant design and marketing work & we will look after your domain name(s)
This makes it much harder for an errant web designer to inadvertently stop your emails working (which unfortunately happens a lot more than you would think!)
Email Authentication Protocols: SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are protocols for verifying that emails are actually sent from your domain name.
- SPF (Sender Policy Framework): This is a security measure that verifies outgoing emails from your domain are coming from a list of approved servers. It helps prevent others from sending emails pretending to be from your domain.
- DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail): DKIM adds a digital signature to each email you send. This signature helps the receiving email server confirm that the email hasn’t been tampered with and actually comes from your domain.
- DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance): DMARC uses SPF and DKIM to provide further protection. It allows you to specify how email receivers should handle emails that don’t pass SPF or DKIM checks, and it also sends reports about email delivery to help you monitor and improve email security.
These authentication methods play a key role in protecting against spam, phishing attacks, and other email cybersecurity threats.
Setting up these protocols for your domain can be a complicated and time-consuming process. It’s important to get it right, as policies that are either too strict or too lenient can stop your emails from being received. We will setup your Microsoft Office 365 email with the right settings quickly!
